Frequently Asked Questions

  • These questions can be discussed during the first meeting. Since each situation is different, frequency and number of visits are variable. In the beginning, it often works out best to meet every week. This helps with developing comfort and continuity between sessions.

  • Some people come with very specific goals, while others come knowing what is not working for them but are uncertain what could. We will work together to clarify your concerns and to figure out how therapy may be of best help to you.

  • I am currently a provider for a number of insurance plans: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Tufts, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Cigna, Medicare, United Behavioral Health, and Aetna. Additionally, many other insurance companies will reimburse me as an out of network provider.

  • I currently charge $200 per clinical hour. However if you have health insurance, you will only be responsible for your copay. I do have a fee scale, and will reduce my fee for individuals who are unable to afford the standard fee.

  • Since March 2020, I exclusively practice teletherapy and plan to do so indefinitely. I offer teletherapy sessions using a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform (doxy.me) to those located in the state of Massachusetts only, when it is determined to be appropriate. Please contact me with any questions about virtual sessions.
